Fall 2013 KABT Meeting: Sept. 14: Konza Prairie Biological Station, Manhattan, KS

Hello all,
I am working on the agenda for this year’s fall KABT meeting.  I am looking for some presenters from our members.  Presentations start at 1/2 hour slots and go up from there depending on how much time you think you will need.  If there are any cool things going on in your classroom or interesting summer workshops that you’ve been to, then sign up and share it with us.  I know that we had a few students with posters last year.  If this is something that you or your students might be interested in, just let me know.  The more volunteers and topics we have, the more powerful and fun this meeting will be.  Please get back to me with your ideas!

Also, if anyone has any ideas for donations for door prizes that would be much appreciated as well.

Thank you,
Noah Busch

Science Movie Shorts and Whatever Else Comes Up

Speakers: All of us

Date: July 9, 2013

Time: 6:30 pm

Location: Coaches Bar and Grill, 9089 W. 135th Street, one block west of 135th and Antioch, south side of 135th St.

I couldn’t hook up with the speakers I wanted but didn’t want to pass on our last cafe until September. I promise to have some short videos from various areas of science, including a cartoon IBM made by picking up and moving individual atoms to make the “pictures” needed for the cartoon. If you know of any good shorts, bring the web addresses and we can watch them. In addition, we can discuss anything you want.

If you can’t make it Tuesday, see you in September.
