font-size: large;\">Neurobiology for Your Biology Classroom<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Participants in this conference will experience neurobiology lessons that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: small;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Engage students in active learning through hands-on activities (case studies, \u201cwet labs\u201d and manipulative modeling). <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: small;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Integrate neuroscience concepts into high school curriculum topics beyond human physiology.\u00a0 For example, genetics, evolution, development, and ecology.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: small;\">\u00b7<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Employ a variety of teaching strategies that meet the learning needs of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">all students, not simply the highest achieving students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Symbol;
