These are mostly uploaded to their social media platforms. I feel that this is actually a compliment. An additional bonus is that my classes later in the day walk in begging to do &#8216;the fish thing&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kabt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0187-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kabt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0187-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.kabt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0187-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kabt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0187-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kabt.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0187-1200x900.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, students observe and draw prepared slides of red blood cells and sickle cells. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oncofertility.northwestern.edu\/sites\/oncofertility\/files\/legacy_files\/sca02.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I go to close class I explain that one of the complications of sickle cell anemia is that it can cause blood clots. I am careful to draw attention to the fact that the <em>function<\/em> of blood cells is related to its <em>structure<\/em>. This is a big theme for us in our discussion of cells.
